Carolina Mini-Stock Challenge set for ECMS return

The Carolina Mini-Stock Challenge Series returns to action August 4th as they travel to East Carolina Motor Speedway in Robersonville, NC.

This weekend will mark the second time the series has visited ECMS in 2018.

Brandon Clements picked up the win back in March along with setting a new track record in the series with a time of 16.647. AJ Sanders would come home 2nd with Kris Hetu rounding out the podium finishing in 3rd.

Since the Series last visited ECMS, the track has seen one driver stand out in its weekly racing program. That driver is James Stroud who has won the last 2 Mini Stock races at East Carolina. He will racing once again this weekend as he tries to make it 3 in a row in the Mini-Stock “Truck” as seen below…

Other drivers that have shown speed at ECMS this season include Duane Walker who has finished runner-up twice this season, and Andy Ipock who picked up a win back in May. Stephen Sanders is another driver who has shown speed this season and currently leads the track’s points standings in the Mini Stock division.

Brandon Clements currently leads the CMSCS points over Kris Hetu, who trails Clements by only 11 points. Shane Canipe, Stephen Sanders and Ryan Moore round out the top 5.
