(Myrtle Beach, SC) – This weekend, Nashville, NC native Jonathan Kluge will be making his limited late model debut at Myrtle Beach Speedway. This will not only be his first time racing a Limited Late Model, but also his first time at the track. Kluge will be competing in the South East Limited Late Model Series 50 Lap Challenger Division feature on Friday night.
Kluge said his main goal is ultimately to just learn. “My goal is to learn all I can and keep the nose on it and complete all the laps. Of course I’m going hoping to win but if as long as I finish I’m happy. I really feel like I’ll have a good shot at a great finish if not a win with my dad Mike Bushee and good friend Adam Resnick calling the shots, just going to have to find us a good spot and ride and save tires so we will have something in the end.”
Kluge will be driving the #5 Limited Late Model that is owned by Resnick, “I’m Very blessed for this opportunity Adam Resnick has giving me.”
Most recently Jonathan competed at the the 2016 Thanksgiving Classic at Southern National Motorsports park where he finished 3rd in the Street Stock Feature. “I’m more then ready to get back behind the wheel after almost a year of not racing”, said Kluge. Looking ahead to this weekend, we asked him about transitioning from the street stock division to limited late models “I think I will have really good car control. I learned in a street stock that you really have to drive them hard and manhandle them”
