This Saturday night, Southern National Motorsports Park will feature racing from the Late Model Stock and Charger Divisons along with UCAR’s, Legends, and Bandoleros.
One of the big headlines coming into the night is Late Model Stock points leader Bradley McCaskill. As most of you know Bradley was injured in a big crash at East Carolina Motor Speedway, and he is still recovering. With Bradley being sidelined, the race for the championship is basically down to 5 drivers. Chris Chapman, Tyler Matthews, T.J. Barron, Tim Allensworth, and Ricky Jones.

In the Charger Division Robert Arch leads Michael O’brien by 11 points and Jeremy Bohne by 14. Arch has visited Victory Lane at Southern National 5 times in 2016 along with O’brien grabbing 1 win. Jeremy Bohne has yet to visit Victory Lane this year but hopes to do so this weekend in the 35 Lap feature for the Charger division.
The race for the UCAR points is tightening up. Buckshot Jones lead Brandon Allen by a margin of only 4 points. Followed by Allen is Joseph Pittman who is in a 12 point deficit behind Jones. Both Jones and Allen have shown Consistency throughout the year by finishing Top 3 in every race of 2016. Jones has recorded 1 victory so far this season.
In The Legends and Bandolero division the points seem to be all but wrapped up. In the Legends Division, Dillon Spain has a 21 point lead over Chris Stancil and a 28 point lead over teammate Will Bristle. Spain has won all 6 races in 2016.
In the Bandoleros, Blaise Brinkley shows a 12 point lead over Emily Day and a 13 point lead over Camryn Rice. Brinkley has 1 win in 2016 along with Josh Kossek and Dustin Yeoman.
